Govt Forms Committee To Train 1.25 Lakh Youth Under Himayat risingkashmir.com
The government has formed an eight-member committee to evaluate the proposal of project implementing agencies to train 1.25 lakh youth under the Himayat scheme.vThe committee would be headed by Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education department. The Himayat scheme was launched by Jammu Kashmir government in 2016. The scheme is a training-cum-placement programme for school and college dropouts, especially the ones who belong to poor families. Under the scheme, youth are provided short-term training for at least three months in a range of skills for which there is good market demand.
The eight-member committee is mandated to evaluate the proposals of the project implementing agencies and to approve the proposals of project implementing agencies, allot targets, set areas of operation and set the project framework for implementation of Scheme as per Deen Dayal Upadhya-Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) guidelines.
