Won’t Interact With Separatists And Politicians: Satya Pal Malik In Ladakh indiatoday.in
Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik on Sunday said that he will engage with members of civil society groups and teachers but won’t interact with separatists and mainstream politicians. Malik’s comments came after on the sidelines of the inauguration of the four-day Ladakh festival in Leh.
At the occasion, Satya Pal Malik was accompanied by Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ladakh C Phunsog. Malik went to congratulate the people of Ladakh for getting a Union Territory status.
Malik noted that Ladakh’s pristine beauty, traditions, culture, language, and heritage will be protected and its people will benefit from the Union Territory status that will open new doors for employment and development.
He said that the Union government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always been considerate to the aspirations of Ladakh and fulfilled them as promised. Malik also welcomed a large number of tourists who are currently in Ladakh and wished them an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
