A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) which is currently interrogating disgraced Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) DSP Davinder Singh, has found obscene content on the officer's mobile phone. The matter came to light after the phone was sent to forensic experts for an examination. Singh was arrested by the police on January 11, when he was travelling on Jammu-Srinagar highway along with two Hizbul Mujahideen militants which also included a top commander of the outfit named Naveed Babu and his accomplice.
The case was handed over to NIA after the initial investigation. According to police officials, the two terrorists were planning to travel to Pakistan after reaching Jammu. Citing police sources, news agencies had earlier reported that Rs 12 lakh could have been given to Singh for moving two terrorists to Delhi for carrying out attacks ahead of the Republic Day.
