A day after a quiet Eid in Kashmir with reports of some people being injured in a few incidents, the government on Tuesday maintained that the situation is normal in Jammu and Kashmir. A top official of the government also claimed that Independence Day will be celebrated on a grand scale in the state. Congress, however, has asked the J&K governor to invite an all-party delegation to Kashmir. This came after Satya Pal Malik said he will send a special plane for Rahul Gandhi so that he can visit the Valley. On Valley invitation, Rahul Gandhi said freedom to meet people was necessary not an aircraft.
