The central government announced the abolition of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. After this many restrictions were imposed in in the state. Gradually, the government put an end to these restrictions by seeing the situation normal. The government is still closely monitoring Kashmir Valley.
In this connection, Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with senior officials and reviewed the situation in the state. NSA Ajit Doval, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba, Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla as well as senior officials of security agencies were present in the meeting.
It also elaborated on the large scale firing, terrorist infiltration efforts and preparations made to deal with them from Pakistan. In a meeting that lasted for nearly two hours, senior officials told Amit Shah how all 1,02,069 landline telephones in Jammu and Kashmir have been commissioned. In all police station areas in Jammu and Ladakh areas, the day-to-day ban has been completely lifted. In the Kashmir Valley also, the day ban has been lifted in 93 of the 105 police station areas.
