Kashmir Live Updates: Phone Lines Restored In Several Parts, 190 Schools To Open Tomorrow indiatoday.in
As the clampdown in Jammu and Kashmir eased yesterday, the government promised that restrictions will gradually be relaxed further today. On Day 14, Kashmir seems to be limping back to normalcy. Even as stringent security arrangements remained in place, the authorities eased restrictions on the movement of people and restored landline phone services in some areas of Kashmir Valley yesterday. Classes will resume in 190 schools in Srinagar tomorrow as the district administration makes necessary arrangements to ensure the safety and security of the students. Government offices will also start functioning normally from Monday. Apart from lifting curbs in many areas, the authorities also restored the low-speed (2G) mobile internet services in five districts of Jammu region and 35 police stations in the Kashmir Valley.
