Incarcerated Deputy Mayor Shifted To Hospital brighterkashmir.com
Deputy Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation who is facing detention at Century Subsidiary Jail was shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital after he complained of pain in his knees. Scores of political leaders and activists are languishing at Century Subsidiary Jail since August 5 when the Government of India annulled the special status in Jammu and Kashmir. Deputy Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation Sheikh Imran who had joined Sajad Lone led Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Conference was also detained. Authorities immediately shifted Sheikh Imran to Bone and Joint Hospital for treatment after he developed pain in his knees. Sources added that he was shifted back to the subsidiary jail after treated by doctors.
