Govt Grants Mos Status To Mayors Of Jammu, Srinagar MCS

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday announced to grant the status of Minister of State (MoS) to the mayors of two municipal corporations- Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) and Jammu Municipal Corporation. According to an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the sanction was accorded to the grant of status equivalent to MoS to the mayors of SMC and JMC within their territorial jurisdiction.
