Centre’s Team To Review JK’s Performance In Horticulture Sector Next Week brighterkashmir.com
A high-level meeting was held on Monday in the national capital under the Chairmanship of Joint Secretary, Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) GoI, Rajveer Singh with the representatives of Jammu and Kashmir and the North East States of Nagaland, Haryana, Tamilnadu, Assam Manipur, and Tripura.
On the occasion, Joint Secretary MIDH stressed to work in mission mode so that funds are utilized inefficient manner for the development of J&K. He also directed the abolition of MIED before October 30, 2019.
In the meeting, it was given out that a high-level team of officers from the Ministry of Agriculture and Former Department of Agriculture Cooperation and Farmer Welfare would visit J&K next week and review physical and financial progress for various schemes being implemented in J&K.
Mission Director J&K, Ajaz Ahmed Bhat requested extending the timeline for Prime Minister’s Development Programme (PMDP) for two years. He also requested for 80 crore residual activities for Saffron Mission, the Joint Secretary agreed for active consideration.
