The British High Commission on Friday, 23 August stated that UK did not call for the UNSC session on Kashmir on 16 August and clarified that the Kashmir dispute must be resolved bilaterally between India and Pakistan.
Pakistan Foreign Affairs Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi wrote to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights again on Friday regarding the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier in the day, the Centre delayed the submission of the response on Shah Faesal’s detention to the Delhi High Court, adding that it will do the same later during the day. The court will hear the plea on 3 September.
