Centre Sanctions 325 Cr Medical College For Handwara thekashmirmonitor.net
The Government of India has accorded approval for the establishment of a New Government Medical College attached with existing district/referral hospital Handwara in Kupwara district with an outlay of Rs 325 crore.
As per a statement issued here on Sunday by the administration of new Medical Colleges, Jammu and Kashmir, the J&K government has received the sanction letter in this regard from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The college at Handwara would be set up at a cost of Rs. 325 crore under a centrally-sponsored scheme for the establishment of Medical College in existing district and referral hospitals on a 90:10 funding pattern.
