Pak Claim Forces Rahul To Clarify Stand On Kashmir

Looking to contain a backlash over his name being used by Pakistan while moving the UN on Jammu and Kashmir, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday rushed to clarify his and Congress’s position saying Kashmir was India’s internal issue and Islamabad was guilty of instigating violence.

In a series of tweets, the Congress leader said though he disagreed with the government on many issues, Kashmir was India’s “internal matter”. “I disagree with this government on many issues. But let me make this absolutely clear: Kashmir is India's internal issue and there is no room for Pakistan or any other foreign country to interfere in it… There is violence in Jammu and Kashmir. There is violence because it is instigated and supported by Pakistan which is known to be the prime supporter of terrorism across the world,” he said.
