3 Terrorists Shot Dead In Encounter In Jammu And Kashmir’s Pulwama ndtv.com
Three “most wanted” Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were killed on Sunday in an encounter with security forces in the Tral area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said. The terrorists — Umer Fayaz Lone alias “Hamad Khan” of Seer village, Faizan Hamid of Mandoora and Adil Bashir Mir alias “Abu Dujana” of Monghama — were wanted for their complicity in terror crimes, including attacks on security establishments and civilian atrocities, a police spokesman said.
He said the trio belonged to the Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit and were trapped during a cordon-and-search operation. As the forces were conducting searches, the terrorists fired at them, triggering an encounter, resulting in their killing, the spokesman said. According to police records, the spokesman said, Lone had a long history of terror crimes since 2016 and was involved in planning and executing several terror attacks in the area.
