The Pakistani Army has violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir nearly 3,200 times in the year 2019 as compared to the previous year. Last year, there were about 1,629 shelling incidents. According to sources, so far in December this year, 329 ceasefire violations have taken place, which is almost double of the 175 cases registered in the same month last year.
According to media reports, Pakistan has increased ceasefire violations after Jammu and Kashmir became a union territory. According to sources, 307 cases were reported in August, 292 in September, 351 in October and 304 cases in November. Earlier, there were 203 incidents in January, 215 in February, 267 in March, 234 in April, 22 in May, 181 in June and 296 ceasefire violations in July.
