The Jammu and Kashmir administration is all set to launch the second phase of the ‘Back to Village program’ from 25th to 30th November. The flagship program is aimed at the empowerment and development of Panchayats.
It ensures the functionality of Panchayats in terms of manpower, 100% coverage of beneficiary oriented schemes and doubling of income of rural people by giving the impetus to the rural economy.
In this regard, all the visiting officers are being given a list of activities to be carried out in their respective visiting areas with information regarding languishing projects, major developmental plans and schemes carried in respective districts, so that district plans are formulated according to Panchayats.
In Jammu and Kashmir, all the government departments have been asked to all the government websites with the latest information and content by this Friday to strengthen the public delivery mechanism.
The Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu gave these directions in a review meeting aimed at strengthening the public delivery mechanism in the Union Territory of J&K.
