Army Chief Speaks To Soldiers At LOC, Be Ready To Face Any Challenge

Jammu. General Manoj Mukund Narwane visited the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time on Thursday after taking over as Army Chief. During this time he met the soldiers and reviewed the operational preparations. He asked the army personnel to be ready to face every challenge.

Officials said they also met Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu here at Raj Bhavan and discussed issues related to the effective management of internal and external security, particularly infiltration efforts and the ongoing anti-terrorism operations. The defence spokesman said that during the visit to the Line of Control, the Army Chief was accompanied by Lt. Gen. Ranbir Singh, the General-Officer-Commanding of the Northern Command.
