Kashmir News Live Updates: Around 200 schools in various zones of Srinagar will be resuming classwork on Monday. Ahead of the opening of schools in the district, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary convened a meeting with officers of the Education department and heads of schools in the district. The meeting had extensive discussions with regard to reopening of schools in the district from Monday and assistance required if any by the education department. Principal Secretary, Planning and Development, Rohit Kansal said the relaxations were provided in 50 police stations on Sunday as against 35 police stations on Saturday, and the duration in the relaxation was increased from six hours to eight hours. According to the statement, traffic including public transport plied and shopkeepers opened their businesses. Gulam Nabi Azad said, “Fifteen days have passed but the situation is grim. I demand release of all former CMs, MLAs and political leaders across the state. Reports are being heard that young boys are being picked up. The government must clear how many people have been arrested. There is an atmosphere of fear and intimidation in the Valley.”
