DNB Courses To Start In Jammu And Kashmir Soon indiaeducationdiary.in
Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department, Atal Dulloo today said that the government is soon starting Diploma in National Board (DNB) courses in the Government Medical Colleges and the District Hospitals (DHs) of Jammu and Kashmir.
He also said that the process for hiring of 252 Staff Nurses for 6 District Hospitals will be completed within one month.
He was speaking at a meeting to discuss modalities for starting of DNB courses in Government Medical Colleges and the District Hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting was attended by Director Health Services, Jammu, Dr Renu Khajuria; Principal Government Medical College, Jammu, Dr Sunanda Raina; Mission Director, National Health Mission, Bhupinder Kumar; Medical Superintendent, Chander Parkash; Joint Director (Planning) H&ME, Madan Lal and other senior officers.
Director Health Services, Kashmir and GMC Principals of Kashmir division attended the meeting through video conferencing.
Nodal Officer of the NHM presented a detailed presentation on action taken so far, and the steps needed to be taken for starting DNB courses in various Hospitals.
The FC was informed that GMCs and District Hospitals including DH Poonch, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu, DH Udhampur, DH Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Hospital, Srinagar, DH Pulwama and CHC Kupwara have applied for starting DNB programme.
The FC was further informed that GMCs and DHs of J&K have applied for 16 Super Specialties and 12 Broad Specialties. Out of the 12 applications processed so far, 10 have been approved by National Board of Examinations, he was told.
It was also given out in the meeting that the process for recruitment of 252 Staff Nurses allocated equally among 6 District Hospitals is going on smoothly and will be completed within the deadline. The hospitals include DH Poonch, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu, DH Udhampur, DH Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Hospital, Srinagar, DH Pulwama and CHC Kupwara.
