IIT Guwahati Implements PM Scholarship Scheme For Jammu And Kashmir Students

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has implemented the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme for students hailing from Jammu and Kashmir. IIT Guwahati and AICTE have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which aims at providing introduce the young students from the state of Jammu and Kashmir to advanced academic culture at the top institutes of India. Under the MoU signed by IIT Guwahati and AICTE, 100 meritorious students from Jammu and Kashmir will be enrolled for an internship at IIT Guwahati from May 1, 2020, to May 30, 2020.
IIT Guwahati will specially design detailed programs for the Internship. The programme will be made by IIT Guwahati faculty keeping in mind popular science lectures from IIT Guwahati faculty as well as guest faculty from outside the institute. The main point of interest of these internships will be in the field of research and will be overlooked by various Professors at the Institute. Along with this, the Centre of Educational Technology will also demonstrate students’ model experiments in Physics and Chemistry with the respective Departments.
