Kashmiri Pandits From Valley To Be Given Same Admission Concession As Kashmiri Migrants, Confirms HRD Ministry jagranjosh.com

As per the latest update, Kashmiri Pandits will be offered concessions in admission to Higher Educational Institutions based in Kashmir Valley on the same lines as Kashmiri migrants. The admission concessions that are offered to Kashmiri migrants will now be extended and offered to Kashmiri Pandits living in the valley as well. The decision was announced by senior officials of HRD Ministry today.

The decision to extend the admission concessions offered to Kashmiri Migrants to the Kashmiri Pandits currently living in Kashmir Valley was taken by the MHRD after receiving multiple requests and several representations from different groups. The decision was taken by the HRD Ministry after consulting the Home Ministry and the Jammu & Kashmir Government.

As per the official statement issued by an HRD Ministry Official “concessions available to wards of Kashmiri migrants will also be available to non-migrant Kashmiri Pandits or Kashmiri Hindu families, for admission into higher educational institutions in other parts of the country from 2020-21 academic session.”
