NABARD’s Mission 2020-21 For J&K, Invests Credit Potential Of Rs 30,760 Cr Under Priority Sector thedispatch.in
NABARD has estimated a credit potential of Rs 30,760 crore under priority sector for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the year 2020-21. The UT focus paper containing the details of district wise and sector-wise credit potentials arrived at in a holistic manner based on consultation with all stakeholders was launched in the Credit and Development Seminar of NABARD.
Thomas Mathew, Regional Director, RBI said here on Wednesday in his keynote after inaugurating the seminar. As a marketing initiative to support artisans of J&K and Ladakh, NABARD is going to organize a “Gramya Kala Shilp Mela” from March 12 to 16 at Kala Kendra, Jammu. The seminar discussed the areas for sustainable and inclusive development of the Union Territory including farmers collectives through FPOs, developing walnut as a commercial crop, enhancing productivity in Saffron.
