Security forces have increased patrolling after small rubber boats were spotted near terror launch pads along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources, intelligence agencies have asked security forces to strengthen patrolling around small water bodies. Some reports suggest that 13 small water bodies near the International Border in Akhnoor, Samba, and Kathua in Jammu division have been identified by the intelligence agencies to intensify patrolling. Meanwhile, the Gurej sector – a Valley through which the Kishanganga River runs and houses the road to Gilgit – is on high alert. According to intelligence inputs, terrorists may use the Krishna Ghati river for infiltration.
