Terrorists Open Fire At Troops In Nagrota, Jammu livemint.com
In yet another breach of sensitive military areas in Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists opened fire at a toll plaza in Nagrota, injuring one constable early Friday morning. The area is especially sensitive after the November 2016 attack at the Nagrota camp of the Indian army when terrorists breached the perimeter security, claiming the lives of seven soldiers.
On Friday, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in New Delhi said, “An encounter had started at the toll plaza in Jammu’s Nagrota district, after unknown terrorists in a truck started firing at the troops when they were stopped for checking." While troops of the 137 battalion of the CRPF and the Jammu and Kashmir police were deployed at the spot, reinforcements have been called in.
