Vehicular Traffic On Jammu-Srinagar NH Restored newsonair.com
In Jammu and Kashmir, the vehicular traffic on the 300 Km long Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was restored for one way traffic this afternoon. The Highway was blocked due to the landslide at Digdol near Iron Stand since Wednesday night. The stranded vehicles between Ramban and Banihal are being cleared on priority even as efforts are on to open the stretch for two way traffic. According to IGP Traffic Alok Kumar, about 1500 trucks and about 30 to 35 LMVs were stranded between Digdol, Nowgam and Banihal. 4000 trucks were stranded between Mir Bazar, Quazigund and Lower Munda while as about 2900 trucks are still stranded in Udhampur sector.
